Hohrinji-(2/5)

After the foundation in 7th century, the temple had enlarged to have two-thirds area of the western precinct of Horyuji temple in Heian Period (the late 8th century to mid-12th century). Upon the temple's record book, at the most enlarged time, the temple had more than 20 affiliated temples in the area.
Unfortunately, however, the territory of the temple had been urged to shrink by power holders in medieval years and the temple had been declining until it was repaired in 1441.
Unfortunately, too, all of original structures had been, after the repairing, destroyed due to disasters of violent storms and lightning.
